HOTD 2X06: What Aemond Gives Aegon and What It Means
This is what Aemond hands over to Aegon II in House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 6.
Aemond presents one of the Small Council's stone balls/marbles to Aegon II in Season 2 Episode 6. During council meetings, members take the balls and place them in designated spaces in front of them, officially announcing their attendance. However, these balls do not appear in any of George R. R. Martin's books.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, set designer Claire Nie Richards and production designer Jim Clay came up with the idea during production of Season 1. "It represented the council coming in and being part of the meeting," Richards explained.
