War is coming in House of the Dragon Season 3. The Season 2 finale previewed one of House of the Dragon's most pivotal battles, the Battle of the Gullet. The pieces have come together for this conflict, with Tyland Lannister forging an alliance with the Triarchy and Corlys Velaryon taking to the seas to join the blockade.

All roads lead to the Gullet, where this looming confrontation at sea will change the course of the war for the Greens and the Blacks. Following the Season 2 finale, House of the Dragon co-creator Ryan Condal spoke to reporters (via EW ) about the Season 3 naval battle and how it’s shaping up to be the biggest battle in the show’s history.

"Of course, for anyone who saw the finale, we're building toward that," Condal said. "That event is going to happen very soon in terms of telling the story of this, of House of the Dragon. Based on what we know now, I mean, it should be the biggest thing we've done yet, and we just wanted to have the time and the space to do that at a level that's going to excite and satisfy the fans in the way that it deserves to."

Condal added: "I will just say that if Rook's Rest and the Red Sowing are any indication, [with] the team we have together, we are going to have a great victory with the Battle of the Gullet in the future."
