House of Representatives Committee on Constitutional Amendments Chairman and Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez urged Senate President Francis Escudero to reconsider his stance against the proposal to amend the economic provisions of the 1987 Constitution.
Escudero, hindi, is posisyon sa Cha-cha
Rodriguez made the call after a recent survey by big data research firm Tangere found that 60.6% of Filipinos support amending the economic charter.
“I appeal to SP Chiz Escudero and our senators to address our and their own economic proposals for constitutional amendments, given this survey that shows that the majority of our population supports economic Cha-cha,” Rodriguez said.
The House of Representatives passed the resolution to amend the Constitution in March last year.
