HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Season 3 | Season 2 Ending Explained, Book Spoilers & What Happens Next
Rhaenyra was more than ready for battle.
With three more dragons under her banner, the White Worm telling her that God was on her side, and Daemon finally returning from his strange vacation to declare her fealty, Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) felt almost certain she could take King's Landing and return to the throne that was rightfully hers.
But then Alicent (Olivia Cooke) arrived with a surprising promise: Rhaenyra would rush to King's Landing, where she would find the mad Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) temporarily penniless and the gates would open, allowing her to enter "as a conqueror." In exchange, Alicent would set out on a journey where she could "finally be myself, to die unnoticed and unnoticed and be free."
