Using synthetic data for video model training instead could also pose problems, as many outputs from current video models still do not perfectly simulate 3D reality.
The opportunity for video licensing could increase as multiple developers race to improve video generation models that can produce cutting-edge outputs in an increasingly competitive field. Strong contenders in the wake of Sora and Runway’s Gen-3 model update include Kling and Luma AI’s Dream Machine. Many more video models are in development, as many as 65 in total, a source told VIP+.
