Watch Live: Protests Outside the Democratic National Convention in Chicago
Kamala Harris will receive the official presidential nomination this week at the Democratic National Convention, taking place August 19-22 in Chicago, Illinois. The event, taking place at the United Center, will bring together Democratic Party delegates and leaders to officially nominate Harris, alongside Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for vice president.
The convention is gearing up for a star-studded event, with Kerry Washington, Mindy Kaling, Ana Navarro and Tony Goldwyn set to host. Each host will serve as master of ceremonies for one of the convention’s four nights, opening the evening with keynote speeches and returning periodically to emcee the event. Meanwhile, Julia Louis-Dreyfus will host a daylong panel on the convention’s third day highlighting female governors in the U.S.
The DNC will be broadcast live on ABC, CNN, CBS News, CSPAN, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC News, Newsnation and PBS, among other channels. However, the best way for cord cutters to watch the events is via a live TV streamer such as DirecTV, Sling TV, Fubo TV and Hulu + Live TV, all of which are currently offering free trials.
