UPDATE: Huw Edwards has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
The former top-tier BBC newsreader walked into Westminster Magistrates Court for his hearing at 10:00 GMT sharp and pleaded guilty to all charges. The initial sentence was set at 12 months and the court has been adjourned until September 16, when Edwards returns to Westminster.
Edwards bowed his head as he said "guilty" to three charges of making indecent images of children, making category A, category B and category C images. He also confirmed his name and address. This was the first time in months that he had been seen in public.
