IATSE has criticized JD Vance, Donald Trump's running mate for vice president, for the way the stage was set during his last campaign.

“This is why you should hire union stagehands and set designers,” the junior crew union wrote in an X-post on Tuesday, alongside an image of Vance giving a speech in Philadelphia.
Behind him is a menacing sign that reads “Kamala Chaos,” which has become one of a number of recent Republican campaign slogans aimed at Vice President Kamala Harris. But when people stand in front of the sign, only her first name is visible, prompting some on social media to point out that at first glance it appears as if Vance is campaigning for Harris rather than against her.
In the tweet, IATSE claims that Vance and his team did not actually hire union members for the event.
