Call me crazy, but Just Friends might just feature my favorite Reynolds performance. He plays Chris Brander, an obese nerd turned superstar who ends up in his hometown trying to seduce his high school sweetheart, Jamie (Amy Smart, swoon). The problem is, Jamie labeled him a “friend” years ago, leaving Chris with a few obstacles to overcome to win the girl. Oh, and he’s also busy grooming Anna Faris’ Britney Spears-esque pop star and avoiding former friends and coworkers who bullied him at school.
