Jil Bongalon, assistant parliamentary leader of the House of Representatives and party member for Ako Bicol, said Vice President Sara Duterte's repeated tirades against the Marcos government after she resigned from the Cabinet have shown its true colors.
Bongalon tells VP Duterte: 'Show some humility'
"Why are we only hearing this now? It just shows what kind of politician she is. She will pretend to be an ally when it serves her own interests, and then attack when she no longer needs it. She has just shown her true colors," Bongalon said.
Bongalon noted that Duterte said nothing about the problems during her two years in charge of the Department of Education (DepEd), but only came up with a litany after she left office.
“Did she even help our overburdened and overworked public school teachers? I can still remember her proposing at one point to have Saturday classes just to catch up with the targeted June opening of the school calendar, which President Marcos politely declined,” he said.
