Inside Out 2 just broke another major box office record. The Disney/Pixar sequel has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, surpassing Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen II.

Joy is in full swing, as the Pixar sequel has not only become the best-selling film of 2024 so far – even surpassing Dune: Part Two’s $12 million box office haul – but also the highest-grossing film ever, breaking the impressive record set by Frozen II with a box office haul of $1,462.8 million through Tuesday.

Although Inside Out 2 has yet to hit Japanese theaters on August 1, the animated film is currently sitting at #20 on the overseas charts with an international box office gross of $861.8 million. In addition to winning at the box office, the sequel has also won the hearts of critics and audiences alike, with a current critic score of 91% and an audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
