InterTalent has contracted the makers of “Gywneth Goes Skiing” with Awkward Productions.
"See You in Court", sung by Darren Criss and Catherine Cohen, from Gwyneth Goes Skiing
Comprised of actors, writers, and producers Joseph Martin and Linus Karp, Awkward Productions is the driving force behind one of the most viral indie stage shows of the past year, “Gwyneth Goes Skiing.” The music-infused play is an interactive comedic retelling of the court battle between actor Gwyneth Paltrow and ophthalmologist Terry Sanderson following a skiing accident in Utah.
The televised trial spawned thousands of articles, memes and commentary, covering everything from Paltrow's courtroom wardrobe (dubbed "quiet luxury") to her final statement after winning the case, when she told Sanderson, "I wish you the best."
“I Wish You Well” is one of several original songs in “Gwyneth Goes Skiing.” Karp plays Paltrow in the show, while Martin plays Sanderson. Audience members are also invited to take the stage to take on various roles, including Sanderson’s girlfriend.
