Lewis Pullman on Playing a Skin Care Life Coach, Thunderbolts* at SDCC 2024
"Celebrity esthetician Hope Goldman (Elizabeth Banks) is on the verge of taking her career to the next level by launching her own skincare line, but her personal and professional lives are put to the test when rival esthetician Angel Vergara (Luis Gerardo Méndez) opens a new skincare boutique right across the street from her shop. She begins to suspect that someone is trying to sabotage her reputation and business, and together with her boyfriend Jordan (Lewis Pullman), she sets out on a mission to unravel the mystery of who is trying to destroy her life," the synopsis reads.
Tyler Treese: Your character in Skincare is a life coach. That’s an instant red flag when I hear that profession. How did you prepare for this role? Did you look at real life coaches? Especially the ones that project more of an image than who they say they are.
Lewis Pullman: I watched a lot of YouTube videos and that was really fun because there are some great life coaches out there, but there are too many bad ones. So that was obviously the route that I explored more. Obviously he’s kind of an entrepreneur, but he’s kind of a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
