It’s always a good time when the cast of Interview With the Vampire comes to the TV Insider office. When we knew Louis (Jacob Anderson) was coming in to do photography for Season 2, and when we knew this amazing cast was coming to visit, the wheels in my head started turning.

Fans of The Interview With the Vampire often refer to the characters as a family (a sick and twisted family, but a family nonetheless!). Having recently acquired my mother's old movie camera, a Canon AE-1 Program (the second generation of the 35mm Canon AE-1), I was eager to shoot some footage of Anderson, Sam Reid, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Eric Bogosian while they were in the TV Insider studio. I wanted the cast to shoot it themselves as a nod to Louis's Parisian pastime. What I didn't know was the connection between the Canon AE-1 and Interview With the Vampire.

As fate would have it, the Canon AE-1 first hit the market in April 1976, the same month and year that Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire novel was published. This was clearly kismet. I told the cast about this connection, handed the camera to Anderson, and off they went.
