During a Palace press conference, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said the OP proposed PHP1.054 billion in travel funds for next year, which is PHP94 million lower than the PHP1.148 billion in travel funds in the General Budget Act of 2024.
Pangandaman said the OP may have scaled back planned trips for both domestic and international travel next year based on the proposed budget.
Nevertheless, the budget chief is confident that the OP's lower travel budget will not affect government efforts to attract investment to the country.
