Ivy Lion Productions was founded in 2022 by Richardson and Zaire Julion-Richardson with a focus on championing underrepresented voices and amplifying stories. It launched on Broadway with productions including Merrily We Roll Along, Appropriate, The Wiz, New York, New York and Death of a Salesman. As we first reported, the company is currently expanding its film and television offerings following its producing debut on Bleecker Street’s recently released The Fabulous Four.
Richardson said: “I am thrilled to be partnering with Zero Gravity to take Ivy Lion to a new and exciting level. I have great synergy with the Zero Gravity team and we are collectively passionate about bringing fresh, inclusive stories to the screen.”
Zero Gravity added: “We are so excited to work with Lamar and the rest of the Ivy Lion team. Following their unprecedented rise on Broadway, we look forward to helping them build and grow their film and television business.”
