The Democratic National Committee's latest ad campaign, which kicked off Friday, takes a dig at Republican rival Donald Trump for not wanting to debate Kamala Harris. The campaign will be following him closely during the campaign.
Kamala Harris isn't afraid to debate Donald Trump
The DNC has purchased large ads that will dominate the digital home pages of major local newspapers in states where Trump plans to campaign in the coming weeks. The ads say “the convicted felon is afraid to debate” and ask whether that’s because of his stance on abortion.
The first ads will be placed on the Atlanta Journal Constitution homepage in preparation for Trump’s visit to the Georgia capital on Saturday. The ad campaign will follow him across local news outlets at each rally, the DNC said.
Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said Trump welcomes the opportunity to compare records, but she did not say the former president would debate Harris.
