Jack Black Responds to Tenacious D Band Member's 'Shameful' Comments About Trump Assassination Attempt
In July 2024, Tenacious D canceled their remaining tour dates after Kyle Gass made a controversial joke about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
The comment was made during the band's July 14 performance in Australia. During a surprise moment when Black brought out a cake for Gass' 64th birthday, Gass was asked to make a wish and said, "Don't miss Trump next time," as he blew out the candles.
Black condemned Gass's comments on social media, where he also announced that the remainder of the Tenacious D tour had been cancelled.
