Jake Gyllenhaal's Nine Stories Productions has hired Josh McLaughlin as its new president.

In his new role, McLaughlin will work with Gyllenhaal to develop a slate of projects. As recently announced, the company has signed a three-year, first-look film deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The pact includes both theatrical and streaming releases.

“We are thrilled to welcome Josh to Nine Stories as president. I greatly admire his wealth of experience and deep knowledge of the industry,” Gyllenhaal said in a statement. “I look forward to working together to expand our slate of dynamic projects across film, television and theater.”
