James Cameron is known for his work in many popular film franchises, including the worlds of Alien and Terminator. With two new projects in those worlds on the horizon, Cameron spoke briefly about his involvement.
James Cameron Talks Alien Romulus and Terminator Zero
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cameron was asked about his thoughts on the upcoming Alien: Romulus. Cameron admitted that he had seen the film, but said that he didn't have as much creative input as people think because he doesn't know director Fede Álvarez that well.
“I saw a rough cut six months ago, so I’m sure it’s changed a lot. And I watched it once,” Cameron said. “I gave some notes to [director Fede Álvarez]. He and I are not great friends. I mean, I wish him the best of luck with it, but I think it’s an exaggeration to say that I had a huge creative input into that movie. I think Ridley [Scott] did because Ridley was a real producer on the movie. So I’m just putting it in perspective.”
Speaking of Terminator, Cameron also gave his thoughts on Netflix's upcoming anime adaptation Terminator Zero . The legendary filmmaker said it looks "interesting" and that he's curious to see how such a series interprets the world of Terminator.
