James Gunn wrapped filming on "Superman" in late July, but there's still a lot of work to be done on the 2025 comic book tentpole. In a response to fans on Threads , the writer-director said he's far from done with the film that will launch his new DC Universe.

"Nope. When you're done shooting, you're just getting started!" Gunn wrote in a post on Threads. "There's still a lot of editing, VFX, sound, and scoring to be done!"

When a follower suggested that a lot of time would also be spent on reshoots, which have become something of a staple of major Hollywood tentpoles, Gunn responded with a surprising revelation: "I don't know. I've done a total of one day of reshoots on my last two movies combined."
