Don't tell anyone
Japanese boy band One or Eight celebrated its official launch with the release of “Don't Tell Nobody” along with an accompanying music video.
“Don't Tell Nobody” was written and produced by Ryan Tedder and Dave Stewart of OneRepublic, with a rap written by Lucien Parker. The song, a mix of hip-hop and pop, serves as an introduction to the eight-piece band, which consists of Mizuki, Neo, Reia, Ryota, Souma, Takeru, Tsubasa and Yuga. One or Eight’s name is inspired by a Japanese phrase meaning “all or nothing,” while the group’s slogan is “bet on yourself.”
The Tokyo-based group kicked off in June with a performance video of “Kawasaki,” inspired by the Japanese brand. That video was viewed six million times in five days and has since garnered 10 million clicks. That track was produced by DJ Smallz 732, Gent!, Bangs and Xansei, with a follow-up rap by Parker.
