Jared Padalecki Joins Fire Country Season 3 Could Lead to Spinoff
Former Supernatural actor Jared Padalecki has joined the cast of CBS's hit drama Fire Country season 3, with the potential to star in the upcoming spinoff Sheriff Country starring Deadpool's Morena Baccarin.
In his first role since The CW canceled the Walker series earlier this year, Padalecki will play Camden. The character is a firefighter who is described as a maverick with a certain swagger. He is a force to be reckoned with who immediately recognizes the raw talent of lead character Bode (played by Max Thieriot). Padalecki is reported to appear in a three-episode arc, though it could potentially grow.
According to Deadline, Padalecki will only join Fire Country Season 3 in a recurring role. However, given that the actor is a popular TV star, dating back to his days on Gilmore Girls and his long run as Sam Winchester on Supernatural, there is a chance that Padalecki could continue on in the upcoming Sheriff Country spinoff with Baccarin as the headliner. However, those talks and possibilities are still in the early stages. Sheriff Country is scheduled to debut in the 2025-26 broadcast season on CBS.
