Actress, singer and TV personality Jennifer Hudson has signed a new deal with Interscope Records, the label announced Wednesday.

Steve Berman, vice chairman of Interscope Capitol Label Group, said in a statement: "Jennifer has made so many significant contributions to global music culture on stage, on screen and through her incredible body of recordings. She is a tour de force and we are thrilled that she has chosen to spend the next phase of her career with Interscope."
Hudson — a versatile entertainer with projects in film, music and television — is the youngest female EGOT winner in history. She won a Grammy for best R&B album for her 2008 self-titled debut. She also won an Oscar for her role as "Effie" in the 2007 film "Dreamgirls," an adaptation of the Broadway musical. In 2022, she won a Tony Award as co-producer of "A Strange Loop," which was named best musical.
Hudson joins Interscope's roster of artists, a lineup that also includes Olivia Rodrigo, Blackpink, Dr. Dre, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey and more. Wednesday's announcement offered no further details about Hudson's future musical releases.
