Black Label artist Jeon Somi surprised fans on her special stage at KCON LA 2024. The soloist confirmed her comeback plans in August and revealed the release date and time of her new song.

Jeon Somi made her K-pop debut with the eleven-member girl group IOI. After IOI concluded their activities, Somi joined YG Entertainment's subsidiary agency, The Black Label.

Under YG's sub-label, Somi released her debut extended play, Game Plan, on August 7, 2023. Within the first week of its release, the EP sold over 66,355 copies. It debuted at number 9 on South Korea's Circle Album Chart.
