Senate President Jinggoy Estrada praised President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s decision to increase the salaries of government workers.

“The swift action to implement a salary increase for government employees is a commendable demonstration of the government's commitment to ensuring the well-being of our civil servants,” he said in a statement on August 1.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said earlier that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is in the process of drafting an executive order detailing the salary increase for the 2025-2027 period.
Marcos said during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) that the first of the four salary increases will be released this year.
