ABC, CBS and NBC announced that there will be a special primetime newscast of the shooting on Sunday night, with a live address from President Joe Biden expected to begin at 8 p.m. ET amid the 2024 presidential election.
Following a special edition of World News Tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET, David Muir will host the hour-long ABC News special Trump | Assassination Attempt: Minute by Minute at 8 p.m. ET, also streaming on ABC News Live. More special coverage will continue to follow ABC throughout the week.
Norah O'Donnell will host a special one-hour edition of CBS Evening News from Milwaukee at 6 p.m. ET during the Republican National Convention, which will also be streamed 24/7 on CBS News. It will be followed by the primetime special CBS News: Trump Assassination Attempt at 8 p.m.
