Joe Biden made a surprise appearance at a White House press conference, his first as president, to highlight today’s surprisingly strong jobs report. But as he answered questions from reporters, he also voiced concerns about the upcoming election.
Biden worried about election outcome: 'Don't know if it will be peaceful'
“I have confidence that it will be free and fair. I don't know if it will be peaceful,” Biden said.
“The things that Trump said, and the things he said last time he disagreed with the outcome of the election, were very dangerous.”
He noted that Donald Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), refused to say whether he would accept the results, and also refused to say that Trump had lost in 2020.
