The president took his fourth dose of Paxlovid this morning and "his loose, nonproductive cough and hoarseness remain his primary symptoms, but they are significantly improved from yesterday," the president's physician, Kevin O'Connor, said in a statement. "His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation remains excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear."
Meanwhile, Biden said in a campaign statement: "I look forward to being back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat posed by Donald Trump's Project 2025 agenda while advocating for my own record and the vision I have for America: a vision in which we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for all."
But more Democratic lawmakers in the House of Representatives — Jared Huffman, Marc Veasey, Chuy Garcia and Mark Pocan — called on Biden to drop out of the race. On Morning Joe, Biden's campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon said Biden was "absolutely" in the race, but she argued there were still multiple paths to victory.
