The John Wick universe continues to expand as Lionsgate is actively working on a new John Wick TV series called John Wick: Under The High Table.
John Wick TV Series – The Continental Details Revealed
According to a recent report from Deadline, the series will serve as a sequel to John Wick: Chapter 4 and will pick up immediately after the film's conclusion. The series will focus on the world of the High Table — the fictional group that oversees the assassins in the franchise — and will see "a collection of new characters attempt to make a name for themselves, while some of the franchise's stalwarts remain committed to the old world order."
The report notes that Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski (who directed all four John Wick films) are attached to produce, with Stahelski directing the series' pilot. The series will be written by Robert Levine (co-creator of The Old Man). While Reeves is not currently attached to an acting capacity, Deadline notes that he is "very hands-on" with the project and will serve as an executive producer alongside Stahelski.
John Wick: Chapter 4 focuses on assassin Caine (Donnie Yen) as he attempts to earn his freedom from the High Table while tracking down Keanu Reeves' Wick. The film ends with Wick and Caine fighting in a sunrise duel and Wick killing the Marquis of the High Table (Bill Skarsgård) before presumably dying of his wounds.
