Jon Hamm on His Looming Role in Fargo and His Las Culturistas Nomination for the Father Award
While filming a tough project, some see the drive home from work as a way to unwind. During the production of “Fargo,” Jon Hamm used that hour-long drive in Calgary, Alberta, for two things: ordering dinner and sleeping.
"It was a moment of figuring out where we could get food, because everything closes at 9 in Calgary. There's one ramen place that's open maybe until 9:30, so I might be able to get something to eat. Otherwise, I'm going to have to cook, and that's going to really suck," said Hamm, who spoke to Variety while sitting in the backseat of a car on his way to yet another job.
While working on “Fargo,” the FX series in which he plays the venomous, abusive Roy Tillman, he was also filming “The Morning Show,” in which he played the charming but manipulative Paul Marks. On top of that, he was planning his wedding. After a long day on both sets, he would then sift through emails “about wedding photographers and location decisions,” he says. “The reality of life kind of hit home!”
