Dungeon Masters Starring Jon Hamm Trailer
EXCLUSIVE: Jon Hamm, fresh off two Emmy nominations, is set to star in and executive produce the podcast series Dungeon Masters, a prequel to QCode and Smile and Twilight producer Temple Hill.
The series was created, written and directed by journalist and author David Kushner and is based on his research and writings on the popular game Dungeons & Dragons. The series is inspired by the true story of a missing person, which made the game unintentionally (in)famous.
Set in 1979, the series gives listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Dungeons & Dragons, told through the lens of private investigator William Dear (Hamm), a tough guy with a tough style, and the game’s creator Gary Gygax (Wil Wheaton). The series follows Dear as he searches for Dallas Egbert, a Michigan State student who supposedly disappeared into the steam tunnels beneath his university while recreating a real-life version of D&D.
