Jon Stewart will not be on The Daily Show this week after contracting Covid. Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta will take over as host.
The show announced Monday that Stewart "recently tested positive for Covid-19, as such he will not be hosting this week and will return on Monday, August 12." Scheduled guests this week include author Roxane Gay, actor, former Daily Show correspondent Ed Helms and comedian Hannah Berner.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Stewart would return as host of the Comedy Central late-night show one night a week through the 2024 election cycle. Stewart will host on Monday nights, with the rest of the week being hosted by the show's correspondents, including Desi Lydic, Kosta and Ronny Chieng.
