Jonathan Majors is “heartbroken” over Marvel Studios’ decision to drop him and bring back Robert Downey Jr. to play Doctor Doom.
Jonathan Majors is sad about Robert Downey Jr replacing him
Majors was spotted in Hollywood this week, where he shared his reaction to Marvel's recent surprise announcement that Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU in Avengers: Doomsday. Majors said he was "heartbroken" by the decision, but admitted that Doctor Doom was a great character to cover.
"Yeah, heartbroken. Of course," Majors said in response to a question from TMZ. "I love Kang. Doctor Doom is bad, though."
TMZ then asked Majors what he thought about the careers of actors like Downey Jr. and Ezra Miller, who have controversial histories but have since found work in Hollywood. Majors said he was happy to see both actors being given "patience, curiosity and love," something he doesn't think he was given.
