As he prepares to begin production on the upcoming sequel in New Orleans, the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 star said "fans are going to absolutely love" the sequel to director Emma Tammi's 2023 feature film adaptation of the popular horror video game series.

"It's much bigger; the stakes are higher," Hutcherson told Esquire. "More animatronics are being brought in, different animatronics are being brought in, and the world is opening up in a big way."

FNAF stars Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, a troubled security guard who starts working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes that working the night shift at Freddy's won't be as easy as he thought.
