A TIGER IN PARADISE | Official Trailer | December 8 on MUBI
Chile's Juntos Films and two of Colombia's best-known actors, Angie Cepeda ("Rebellion") and Juan Pablo Raba ("Narcos"), are starring in Colombian director Rafael Martínez Moreno's drama "Domestic Animals," which is participating in the Santiago Film Festival's Sanfic Fiction Lab.
Juntos Films is teaming up with Ivan Luna and Diana Pérez Mejia of Colombia's Ferviente Films to adapt Antonio Garcia Angel's original story of the same name. He co-wrote the script with Diego Cañizal (Spain) and Juliana Ospina (Colombia).
In “Domestic Animals,” Felicidad, a 55-year-old housekeeper in Miami, works for the Ibarra family, who seem perfect but harbor dark secrets. While she’s part of their luxurious world, she witnesses the collapse of the marriage between Guillermo (Raba), an investor, and Claudia (Cepeda), a former beauty queen. Felicidad finds herself increasingly distant from her love interest, Luis, and realizes she’s trapped in a facade, just like the neglected fish she cares for in the glass mansion.
