Kamala Harris was a guest on an episode of Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast to discuss relevant issues in the upcoming election, particularly for female voters.
Harris Appears on the Podcast 'Call Her Daddy.' Hear What She Said About Trump
In a Sunday episode of one of Spotify’s most-listened-to podcasts, Harris discussed sexism in the workplace, sexual assault, and abortion rights. Host Cooper began the episode by saying she had prepared seven different versions of the audio show, including one about fracking. Later, she decided she had to discuss what was most relevant to the podcast, to herself, and to her audience: political and personal issues facing women today, like reproductive rights.
When Cooper cited Republican candidate Donald Trump's now-debunked claim that there are women who "execute babies" after birth, Harris criticized her opponent as unfit to be president.
"That doesn't happen anywhere in the United States," the vice president said. "It doesn't happen and it's a lie — just a blatant lie. Can you imagine that? He's suggesting that women in their ninth month of pregnancy are choosing to have an abortion. Are you kidding? That's so incredibly false and it's so insulting to suggest that that would happen and that women would do that."
