LIVE: Kamala Harris makes first public appearance after Biden drops out of 2024 race
Kamala Harris, in her first appearance since Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed her, praised her as a commander in chief whose accomplishments are “unparalleled in modern history.”
Harris said that in one term, Biden has “already surpassed the legacy of most two-term presidents.”
Speaking on the South Lawn, against a backdrop of college-age NCAA athletes and before an audience of few over 30, Harris said she first came to know Biden through his son Beau, when he was an attorney general of Delaware and she was attorney general of California.
