Vice President Kamala Harris made her first appearance at the Democratic National Convention, opening the primetime program with one of her signature statements: "When we fight, we win."

There were rumors that Harris would appear, as the vice president's swimming pool was present in the arena.

Harris was greeted with thunderous applause by the delegates.
