Maitlis was in the US for her podcast News Agent and spoke to former news anchor and Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake. Lake became visibly angrier during yesterday's four-minute interview, which you can watch in full below.

In response to a question from Maitlis about whether her actions “played a role in inflaming the political rhetoric in this country” in the wake of the attempted assassination of Trump, Lake called Maitlis a “sad case of a human being.”
