Kate Winslet is set to star in a new Hulu series from writer Ed Solomon and A24. The series, titled "The Spot," has received a straight-to-series order from the streamer.

The official logline reads: "When a successful surgeon (Winslet) and her schoolteacher husband begin to suspect that she is responsible for the death of a child in a hit-and-run accident, their search for the truth spirals into a web of mounting suspicion and dark secrets, testing their resolve and their relationship as they face the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal."
Solomon is the writer, executive producer and showrunner of "The Spot." Winslet will executive produce and also star under her Juggle Productions banner. A24 is the lead studio in co-production with 20th Television.
Winslet has been a force to be reckoned with on television in recent years. She recently starred in the HBO miniseries "The Regime." She previously starred in the HBO miniseries "Mare of Easttown," for which she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Miniseries. She won in the same category in 2011 for the HBO series "Mildred Pierce." She is returning to HBO for the miniseries "Trust," which is currently in production. Winslet is also known for her seven Oscar nominations, including for films such as "Titanic," "Iris," and "Little Children." She won the Oscar for Best Actress for her work in the film "The Reader" in 2009.
