Four-time Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky and two-time Olympic rower Nick Mead were named flag bearers for Team USA during the closing ceremonies of the 2024 Olympic Games on Sunday.

The announcement by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) comes amid growing excitement surrounding Sunday's ceremony, which will see the city of Paris hand over the baton of the Summer Games to LA, the 2028 host city.
