Katy Perry will be honored by MTV with the Video Vanguard Award at this year's VMAs, the network announced Thursday. The singer will also perform during the Sept. 11 broadcast of the Video Music Awards.

She's set to perform some of her biggest hits — including her new single, "Lifetimes," which dropped last week and will likely be part of a medley. Her standout performance comes nine days before Perry drops her new album, "143," on Sept. 20.

Perry's appearance marks her first on the show since 2017, when she teamed up with Nicki Minaj for that broadcast's finale.
