Latest Kennedy Center Honors Recipients Announced
The ceremony will take place on December 8 and will be broadcast on December 23 on CBS.
This is the 47th year of the awards, which began in 1978. It is one of the major cultural events of the year in D.C., typically attended by the president and first lady, as well as the Supreme Court justice and congressional leaders. President Joe Biden received the recipients at a ceremony and reception at the White House immediately prior to the event at the Kennedy Center. The State Department also hosts a ceremony for invited guests the night before.
Done+Dusted will produce the ceremony for the third year, in partnership with ROK Productions.
