Kevin Spacey speaks out after being found not guilty of sexual assault
In recent years, House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey has been acquitted of multiple sexual assault charges in two separate trials. Spacey continues to face allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple men. Additionally, the actor was recently the focus of an explosive Channel 4 documentary, Spacey Unmasked. He has denied all allegations and criticized the documentary, calling it "one-sided."
Allegations of sexual abuse against Kevin Spacey first surfaced in 2017. Over the years, the two-time Oscar winner has faced several cases, including allegations made by actor Anthony Rapp. Rapp reportedly accused Spacey of sexually abusing him in the 1980s when he was just 14. He has also been charged with nine additional counts of sexual abuse in the United Kingdom, stemming from four separate cases.
In 2022, Kevin Spacey first went on trial on charges brought by Anthony Rapp in New York, and a jury acquitted him. Variety reported that Spacey's British trial took place the following year, and the court again acquitted him.
