The first new project in development under the deal is “Group Chat,” a series based on La La Anthony’s 2014 book “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex and Happiness.” Anthony will star in the project and executive produce alongside Kardashian and Kenya Barris, who serves as creator through his Khalabo Ink Society banner. Khalabo’s Adam Kassan is also an executive producer. BET Studios is co-producing with 20th.
If greenlit, “Group Chat” will stream on Hulu.
The deal and development announcement follow a big year for Kardashian, who recently starred in “American Horror Story: Delicate,” created by Ryan Murphy and produced by 20th. She and Murphy also filmed a legal drama at the studio in which she plays a divorce attorney, and her family’s unscripted Hulu series “The Kardashians” was recently renewed for a sixth season.
