Kevin and Sluggo on 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles

The “Kevin & Sluggo Show” was noticeably absent Friday afternoon from KLOS-FM in Los Angeles, as hosts Kevin Ryder and Doug “Sluggo” Roberts were given their layoff letters. The decision to eliminate the afternoon drivetime on KLOS comes after owner Meruelo Media made drastic cuts to several local radio stations, including KPWR-FM “Power 106,” KDAY-FM and KLLI-FM “Cali 93.9.”
Earlier this year, Meruelo had fired all of the midday anchors at all four of its LA stations, as well as several part-timers and off-air staffers. At KLOS, that included midday jock Marci Wiser, who had been with the station since 2015. Also in February, Meruelo fired Power 106 midday host DJ Felli Fel (real name James Andrew Corrine), who had been with the station since 2000.
