A new season on the air usually means at least a few new characters. And considering how many shows Dick Wolf has in primetime — eight are now scripted, with Law & Order: Organized Crime moving to Peacock for its fifth season, with a premiere date yet to be announced — it's no surprise that there are quite a few to be found in those series.

New bosses are coming to Chicago Fire (Dermot Mulroney), Law & Order (Maura Tierney) and FBI: International (Jesse Lee Soffer). The hospital and Intelligence of Med and PD are getting new faces, respectively. And Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) is expanding her team at SVU. That’s because most of those shows parted ways with cast members at the end of the previous season or over the summer.

Mulroney will play Chief Dom Pascal. The original report for this new character had Dom working in the CFD early in his career, but has been a chief in Miami for the past decade. He is a cheerful individual who works well under pressure. His leadership style differs from that of Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker).
