Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave (2005) Body Count

A lawsuit over the intellectual property rights to the 1985 horror comedy The Return of the Living Dead was filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Living Dead Media LLC is the plaintiff and claims that it owns the copyrights to the original screenplay and the underlying script for the film, as well as other trademarks.

The company is suing ROTLD Originals LLC, which was formed on July 7, 2024. The company has not yet disclosed its members, but court documents show ROTLD has no rights, title or interest in the original film.
