Lewis Pullman says he's open to playing Joaquin Phoenix in Todd Haynes' new romantic film.

Phoenix previously starred opposite Danny Ramirez in a romance film directed by Haynes. The film follows two men who embark on a sexually explicit affair while leaving Los Angeles in the 1930s.
However, Phoenix reportedly left the set five days before production on the film was set to begin. At this time, Phoenix's role has not been recast and the project appears to be in limbo.
Pullman, who starred opposite Ramirez in 2022's Top Gun: Maverick, said on the Just for Variety podcast that he would "love" to get a call about taking on Phoenix's role in the film.
